“I would rather sit on a pumpkin, and have it all to myself, than be crowded on a velvet cushion.”
― Henry David Thoreau
a message from the author & illustrator
Representation Matters:
While we always recommend books by queer and Bipoc authors, we always prioritize on inclusivity in all our books. We hope that every child can see themselves in our little world of stories and characters.
Vocabulary:
our books are for people age 0-99. We want the messages, themes, and illustrations in our books to reach people at every age. We encourage those who are able to read aloud with those who can't. For school age learners, we've included grammar and vocabulary lessons in the Adventures of Tallulah Froom. Reading and learning should always be fun!
Joy Over Conflict:
We want children to love themselves and love their bodies. For this reason, we've kept bullying and conflict to a minimum. There are opportunities for character growth in each story, but we've prioritized joy, friendship, and acceptance in our writing and illustrations.
